.
1 fold, Hero raises to t105, 5 folds, BB calls t75.
Standard, right? Just raised pot.
Flop: (t225),
,
(2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.
Yes please, I'll have a free card and make it the Kd.
Turn: (t225)(2 players)
BB bets t60, Hero calls t60.
Getting odds. Anyone raise here? Paired boards suck.
River: (t345)(2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 300, BB bets t2820 (All-In), Hero ???
Highlight below:
I called, he had 44. Raise the turn, or take the free card? I mean, that's the ONLY card in the deck that would have resulted in us both having a big hand, giving a free card isn't bad here, no? Anyone lay this down pf? Too early in terms of position and length of tourney to play AQ? Anyone lay down the nut flush?

bet the flop
For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

Really? I thought with three Kings and nine diamonds out I could check and likely get one rather than having him fold on the flop.

why not have him fold? all you have is a draw at the moment

Well I knew a king or diamond would win it for me, and as it happened a Q or A would have too, so take a free card to make a winning hand.

This happens too often. Usually when it does, I'll type "rigged" in the chat box and get everyone riled up.
Anyway, I'm betting this flop. It's a continuation bet. Bet around half the pot. Then when he checks to you on the turn, you can check behind taking the free card, or you can bet again trying to take the pot. Yes, you only have ace high, but you have a monster draw (FD, gutshot, and two overs). It is a mistake to check the flop as you are probably the favorite to win the hand.I study at KRE8R's School of Bankroll Management.
If you IM me looking for money or a trade, you will be blocked.
