The follow hand came during a late sit & go tournament with 3 players left.
Blind was $15/30.
I had about $250 and so was the other two opponent. I was SB.
Dealt: Jc 2d
One limper, I called and BB completed.
(Pot = $90) Flopped: Jh 2c 3c
I bet $30. BB fold, opponent called after 5 seconds.
(Pot = $150) Turn: 6h (or similar rag card, no flush draw)
I bet $50. Opponent called pretty fast.
(Pot = $250) River: 8s (or similar rag card, no flush possibility)
I go all in ($105).
Is there something that I could have done better? I put the opponent on some kind of straight draw, or J + middle kicker. He limped in so I rule out the possibility that he already completed the straight (thus going all in on my part).
btw. Opponent flipped over 33. DOH!

Hm wait, I was SB so it only costs me $15 to see the flop with $75 already in the pot. Isn't this a good deal? (plus if my opponents are weak I bluff them off)

Yeah but what are you hoping for with this hand? Doesnt make straight, if you get high card you have a crappy kicker. You probably wont make a flush and if you do you still dont have the nut flush. Flopping two pair is your only option for this hand and the odds of flopping two pair is like 50 to 1 so its really not worth playing.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R
KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

What he said. The other 20 times you play trash like J2o you'll get nothing 18 times and go broke vs AJ on a J43 flop the other two.

And yet another reason. Say you complete J2o and get that flop of J23. Turn comes another 3. You are now losing to any Jx because you have 2 pairs, Jacks and Threes with a deuce kicker. Even J4 is beating you at that point.

you could of saved money preflop
but the other place you can save money is on the turn / river
you check / call the turn if it's not too high (his bet). I figure the opponent checks the turn wanting to trap or small bets the turn, you call.
River you check, he bets outs a little because he wants a call.
That'S the only way you can MAYBE.... MAYBE save some cash and your soul.
