Default My first satellite, 3rd hand dealt and I'm out. :(

My first real hand (3rd hand dealt) in a sat. and this was how it went. I went out so fast, I can only think that I played it horrible somewhere if not more than one area.

Seat 8: irishkevin1 folded on the Flop
Seat 9: nellie1 (button) showed [Jh Kh] and won (3,210) with two pair, Kings and Jacks

Now mind you, I thought on the turn that the person didn't have AK or KK, but possibly pocket 6, 8, or 2, and if they had AK or KK, I would have figured a possible reraise preflop. Eventually I put him on AK (possibly, but not likely) or K rag.

    But any advice is appreciated.....

umm, Maybe that happens a lot, but with it being my first tounament, I just thought that I may not have been ready, or like you said, I just got rivered. Either way, when it happened, I started second guessing my play. Maybe I didn't need to, but then what do I know? I'm still trying to learn this game.

seriously, HA isnt the place for this (stupid replies i mean, not the OP)

this early, just fold KQo....there will be plenty of big hands to come where u can gather chips so dont put urself on the line with this hand so early.

in the end u did get rivered and this is the pokery gods equivalent of a slap on the wrist and sending u to the naughty step.

It's the first level with a trash hand in MP. How is this an insta-raise?

AT very easily...AJs is probably a raise. I just don't feel it's necessary to spew chips so early on in these things.

If he was in CO or on the button, KQo is a decent hand to raise with. But look at the hand, he got 3 callers with a weak hand in MP with a standard raise. You don't want that.

first 2-3 levels, im raising AA-JJ and AK, possibly limping other pairs and folding if the pf action gets too hot but generally only AA-JJ/AK doesnt get mucked.

unless ur putting in a massive raise with a lesser hand(which has its obv issues), its gonna get called cos "its not that much more for me to see a flop" so even if u do happen to hit the board, ur not sure where u stand......if ur massive pf raise does get called, ur likely well beat.

Edit: first 2-3 levels in CO and on the button and im also folding everything bar the above. if u raise and take down the blinds, u won 45-75 chips. if u get called and have to fold post flop, ur raises later on wont get as much respect as when they seen u play like a nit earlier.
