ok , these spots are tough for me, UTG is fairly new to table, SB is the biggest calling station on the planet, i was gettin 3 to 1 to see a flop. my question is are those good enough odds to make it +ev?keeping in mind anytime i miss this flop, im prolly folding?

Never fold AKs in this spot, we have a real monster and against a standard player I re raise the 0.4 raise to at least $2 with the UTG calling. (We're very committed if we do this so shoving isn't the worst move you can make either).
However we do have a calling station so a re raise has to indicate real strength. You will have position on both players so I like a call.
As played I call the flop with 4-1 and 2 big overs
You've confused me a little because you said about UTG re raising?

Your immediate odds of 3-1 are good however your implied odds are awful. Unless he has AQ and an A flops it is going to be rare for you to hit a hand and win much from him.i almost folded PF but if i hit my implied odds are great
I would be folding or getting it all in preflop here.
If the guy is that tight that I put him on QQ+ or AK (In some cases people don't even reraise AK which makes it a clear fold) then I can't play the hand profitably.
If he is loose enough to have 88+, AJ+ and some occasinaly bluffs then I reraise.Best Current Ongame Deal.

lol, my fault i mixed up the 2 positions, as in UTG is the station. Anyway ,usually at these stakes you dont see reraises unless they have a big hand, so prolly shouldve foldedYou've confused me a little because you said about UTG re raising?Last edited by sk8freak_21; 08-18-2007 at 12:23 PM.
