Unhappy Is it too early for this?

Should I be waiting to coinflip later on?

I heard someone say if you play a tournament for the bubble you will not make it as much as if you played to win...this is a play to win moment...am I wrong in doing this?

1st hand sucks, but you had to do it.

2nd hand, I'm probably folding to his reraise unless I'd already seen him 3bet light. Then again, I really don't want to go broke this early in the tourney. I can't fault the hand as played, though.

If you're a skilled player then you need to try and avoid PF all ins as much as possible in MTTs (Hellmuth does this brilliantly). If you don't feel like you have a decent post flop edge over the opposition then flipping is fine early on.

That said, we have decent pot odds in the first hand

Second hand I don't mind just shoving over the top of the initial raise as we're not folding to a shove anyway after 3 betting (has been a while since I've played MTTs though)

hand 1 is a snapcall

hand 2, i don't think a reraise is necessary. just see a flop. as played....meh, i think you've already committed enough of your stack that you gotta call. don't be thrilled about it though

personally hand one is a fold for me. i never win them coinflips and he's near equally stacked to urself. id fold and bide my time to raise and bet with position. at this stage he's not desperate enough to push all in for anything less than a pair!
hand is just a flat call after his raise if you hit the flop with ak u are looking sweet. be prepared to fold tho if you miss!

in hand 1, even if we give BB a range of 22+, there's enough money already in the pot to make a call immediately profitable

I always think that early in tourneys you should try and get as many chips as possible. Hands like AK etc are still drawing hands but at the start of a tourney (when the donks are still in) you want to be the one getting their chips. Bad players will call an all in with A10, AJ etc so you will be well ahead. Of course sometimes you will get sucked out on but in the long run it is a profitable move

1st hand, well played -- insta-call.

2nd hand, I prefer to see a flop and just call MP1's $150. Blinds are low etc

you're being result oriented

an ace or a king will hit 66% of the time
