Top set, slow play this?
If you are one in a million, there's eight just like you in Manhattan.

100% Slow Play

What are you hoping someone else can hit that gives them a good second best hand?100% slowplay and post in river rats OMG KKK loses to AT when a J comes on the turn - fucking rigged.
Basically you are hoping they either decide to bluff a preflop raiser who checks a K high flop or hit what they believe is a 2 outer to give them a lower set.
I think you have to put the money in and hope someone will go with you or make a move. I think betting is more likely to induce someone to make a play than a check personally.

I'll play it one of two ways:
*Slowplay completely if no flush or straight draws are apparent
*Make my standard continuation bet and pray one of these monkeys thinks its time to make a stand against me.
The problem with top set, is that it is very unlikely that anyone else has top pair. Unfortunately, J10 could easily be up against you with 8 outs to murder your set. So I make a 1/2pot sized bet on your flop. Had it been something like:
K 9 3 rainbow, I'd definitely slowplay

The rainbow board is really safe, but the Q is kinda ugly. As Wota points out the gutshot draws are freerolling. I dont think slow-playing is a big mistake though. If the turn is a broadway card you could always call a bet and hope the board pairs on the river.

I like it the way it was played.

With that PFR? No, I think it's more likely that at least one of these guys has an ace. I think another might have had a PP and was hoping to flop a set. If one of these guys catches a hand, that's it for them, they're gone.
That said, both options have advantages. It's more of a play-style thing, I think, than a yes/no answer."You can ask the sky to summon the wind, but the sky will summon what wind it will."

Standard play and boy does it suck that this wasn't one hand sooner i.e. the last hand of the rebuy period then 23o would be stacking off

If your play-style is to check behind here with AK as the preflop raiser in position when checked to, and also to check behind here with AQ/JJ/any other 2 cards you raised to make a positional play with then yes check behind. That said, both options have advantages. It's more of a play-style thing, I think, than a yes/no answer.
