    GAH

you need to stop minraising. Both raises are way to small.

As played, I like checking the turn and milking on the river

    preflop play is ok too.

THIS WAS AGAINST THE CHIP LEADER. HE ALWAYS REPRESENTS HE HAS TOP PAIR OR SOMETHING BUT RARELY HAS ANYTHING.

I still think while you're learning you should always take the value betting line. At the levels you're playing it is the biggest +EV line you can take. Bet 3/4 to the pot on the flop, and when you make your hand, bet for value. If you bet 2/3 on the turn you can shove the river and take his stack.
