Here's a hand I played, the guy got frustrated at me because I called, calling me I dont remember what.
Every body around folds except me (in the small blind), another guy big blind, and the guy on the button.
I have about 1000 chips, big blind 1000, button has 1700
my cards : 5s-7c
blinds 25-50
Flops comes out 5c-Kd-4c
I check, big blinds checks, button bets 150. I call, big blind folds (I got 850 now)
turn 6c
so we got, 5c-Kd-4c-8c
I check, button bets 400. FROM THAT MOMENT, in my opinion, he betted too much, so I knew he did not have a flush card.
Counting my outs: 2 outs for a set, 3 outs for 2 pairs, 9 outs for a flush / str8 flush, 3 outs for a str8 giving me a total of 17 outs.
Considering I was a bit short in chips (850), I decide to call, and hit a 6s on the river giving me a str8. I go all in, he calls, he had Kh-8s 2 pairs.
He could of hit a full house (taking 2 outs out of my 17), but I did not know at that time his holdings.
Opinion ?
Mine is, it may have been a loose call, but I had a gut feeling...
Was that REALLY a bad move ?

I'm not completing with 57o, especially this early.
That's about as shitty as hands get.If you are one in a million, there's eight just like you in Manhattan.

you are getting 5:1 on your call.
i'm limping. if the bb decides to raise pf then determine if its worth the call. thats why you calculate pot odds.
post flop- i'm 50/50 on the 150 call with middle pair. i could go either way. more than likely folding but i could be swayed.
the turn- you are figuring 17 outs without many discounts-
i fear the opponent has either 1 pair or a flush draw eliminating 9-12 outs.
at best a 17 outer situation, but more than likely your looking at a 6 outer- 4-6s and 2-4s.
at least you didn't push all in on the turn leaving yourself no outs if the river bricks.
now is calling off 400 of your chips (almost 50% of remaining stack) on a probable 6 outer is not my idea of good call.
you got lucky and hit one of those six outs imo.f*cking it up for everyone else since 1969.
