Default STT Low Limit First Hand

Honestly, pretty typical... just figured I'd ask what you all thought of this type of play. Seams to work for me 70%+ of the time I try, which is about 20% of my STT's at this level. Sometime I actually have a hand, but that doesn't usually matter.

I really don't like these kind of plays in STT's. There's no need to risk your stack here.

Terrible terrible play for the first level of a SNG. Why risk so many chips so early with a junk hand?

I'm glad the hand worked out for you but there is NO reason for this kind of play at any level in a SNG. Honestly, SNG's are not the place for fancy play syndrome.

    This is horrible, man, sorry.

I don't get it. What are you trying here? To get all-in on the first hand no matter what happens? You are lucky you caught him bluffing because I wouldn't expect a queen to be going into the muck here.

This example is obviously pretty reckless and I am amazed the guy folded but does this idea have some merit at $50+ SNG levels?
Everyone knows that the optimal way to play is to be a nit until the blinds go up then play push/shove so making moves like this early on you expect to push people off pretty much all but the nuts.
Increasing your stack by 25% - 50% near the beginning may give you enough of an edge when it comes to push-fold to over compensate the times you bust when they do have the nuts?

No, it's even worse at that level. The regulars won't call the pf raise in the first place without a monster, and the occassional fish call with hands like QJ, KQ, AQ and there's no way they fold to a reraise. They might even call with JT on that particular flop.
