Fold preflop, Q7 is weak, especially OOP against the raiser.
Flop, if I lead out I go slightly bigger, 0.60-0.90.
As played, I 3-bet to about $3.50. I think you're way ahead, the shove IMO lets him get away cheaply. For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

i kinda didn't really need to ask. i knew i played it too quick. thing was i got beat in a sng last night in very similar circumstances involving flopping trips with a raggedy queen. i slow played it and the guy was holding a pocket pair. he made his set on the turn for a full house. that was at the back of my mind

Yeah you don't need to slowplay here, they'll pay you off but you just have to deny them the correct odds to draw. It's all about extracting max value in the long run. A shove lets him know he's beat too easily.
I agree it sucks when they hit some crazy draw but as long as you make the best value bets you can, you have to be happy really
