Party Poker $6 MTT 1032 entrants. 16 players left. Blinds 4000/8000. Average 180,000 ish.
Me 210,000.
I pick up AKc UTG and raise to 24,000. Button ( tightish player on 140,000) and Big blind (loose on 230,000) call. Pot is roughly 80,000. Flop Jc 2c 2d. BB bets 64,000. I move all in. Button folds and bb calls with Kd JavaScript. it holds up and i'm out.
Should i have pushed or folded. i only had 24,000 invested. i don''t know if i was right. My thinking was i had the flush outs and atleast one live overcard. i didn't think he had a 2 and he would have checked Jacks full. i thought he may fold since he had over 100k left and the way i played looked like a big pair. i thought his call preflop with KJ off was pretty marginal...and by that i mean complete shit, but hey he got it in favourit so maybe i'm the dickhead. Prize money was very heavily weighted towards top few spots and i played to win i guess. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.![]()

I probably play it the same.
I think I'm going to give up playing poker.........and take up repeatedly hitting myself in the nuts

Yea I agree with Bboy you have a lot of room for play with your stack still in decent shape at this level. I think it would definitely have been a great move to be first in that pot to make a move at it all for it there.. but to put your whole stack in on a draw isn't the greatest play. Granted you were 50/50 and it was pretty easy to see that from his bet. Either play (fold or call) is justified as you are getting proper odd to make the all in despite it being a draw.

It was extremely borderline and i think if i'd had longer to think i may have folded. I had plenty of chips left and could have found a better spot to commit my stack.

It goes both ways becauseif you hit the nuts then it looks like a genius play but since you didnt ur questoning it. First of all that guy shouldnt have been in that pot with KJ off, but since you noticed that he is extremely loose you kind of have to expect yuor gonna get called with a hand like that pre and post flop. If i were you i would have folded there because you dont want to race for your tourney life ecspecially when ur stack is still good size!! not a bad play tho,

I really don't know what to do here. This is probably a moment for an MTT expert to come forward....
I can see the argument for folding. You'll have an M of 15, not in any danger, plenty of time to make a move etc.
Problem is I can also see why pushing might be good. You're looking at a coinflip, and the possible fold equity (small but there is some) makes this a +ev push imo. The payout is weighted to the top few spots, that makes me want to push as well. But while it may be technically +ev in the long run, getting knocked out at this stage could really turn this on its head.
Reviewing it, I like folding more but in the heat of the battle I probably push this and regret it later...For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

I would agree with the in the heat of the battle thing, because you onlyhave a few secondsto make a huge decision like this. That is oneof the huge problems that i see in internet poker is the immediate decisions you have to make in a matter of seconds where in a live game you would think about it for 5 or 10 minutes. They should give players like 2 to 3 time extensions per hour or something. All in all you could have played the hand either way and still regreted it later, if you would have folded you might be mad that you did...so who knows!!
