33 on button with 2X big blind -- insta push?

After 2 people limped, you have to fold. Obviously neither of them are going to fold (LOL @ MP3 limping with < 2BB) and you don't want to get all in with 33 vs 2 people (maybe 3 if the BB wants to play.) It's an insta-shove if no one else had entered the pot though.
I think I'm going to give up playing poker.........and take up repeatedly hitting myself in the nuts

Yeah fold, you're on the button there's long enough until the blinds hit for you to pick up a high card and shove. You aren't in good shape in a 3-way pot (they aren't folding).
EDIT: 4-way pot not 3Last edited by davidab157; 04-02-2007 at 08:10 AM.
For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

hmm, i actually beg to differ.. i actually like a push here as theres a TON of money already in the pot, and frankly I wouldnt mind pushing with 33 here getting such good odds on my money.

I think it depends on the tourney. If your on the bubble then yes its an easy fold. But if theres say 100 left and 50 pay then i might be tempted to side with eclipse because your really going to have to gamble to get to the money if youve only got 2 BBs and your looking at a quadruple up should you get lucky.

Already in the money, but the next payout level is far enough away that I can't fold my way to it.
I could fold this hand, but I'm concerned with the antes and increasing blinds I won't be able to count on seeing maybe 2 or 3 more hands before getting switched tables and facing another big blind... At this point, I know I'm not analyzing very well after having dropped to the felt from 14th place chipstack in 15 minutes...

This is a push with any two cards. LITERALLY any two. You got lucky to have a pair.

I'm not convinced that pushing here is right. When I was playing the $3 rebuy this past weekend, I was trying to play as tight and solid a game as I could. When the tournament started getting down to < 100 people, I found myself in this situation a few times and almost every time I took the conservative route and folded. I dont think I would have finished anywhere near as high as I did if I hadn't.
I'd much rather wait a hand or 2 and push something like K8s when it's folded around to me than get all in here.I think I'm going to give up playing poker.........and take up repeatedly hitting myself in the nuts

Even with the K8s, no one's folding to your min-raise type AI. I'd much rather have a pair and hope for a set than an easily dominated broadway.
