My image is pretty over aggressive at this table. Been pushing/raising alot.

I only dont push here because the min raise is so sketchy, and id rather be able to get away from it postflop and have 23K where i could easily come back, instead of jsut being out.

Push.
PF- Raise to 9k and call a shove/fold to a re-raise/shove or shove/caller or just open-shove.
I like stop n' going the minreraise as played. If you're not gonna overshove, but overbet, folding to the minreraise isn't horrible, but overall your overbet is pointless. You just lose FE postflop when someone cold-calls or minreraises because you're shoving any flop.

I couldn't help but fold here dude. I tend to get raped with fishhooks, but i do agree with the options that ALex gave-seem to be standard to me. I'm definately calling the initial raise-but after the reraise, I would release. Maybe this is why I had 5 ubbles in a row?

Diggler, are you seeing that I made the initial raise.
Making my name ME instead of hero may have thrown some people off.
But results were i called. The stuck to my 1010-KK read and pushed the flop. He folded. Looking back it could have easily been AK but oh well i went with it.
I just never really understand what to do PF in this situation.
Alex - Is 11,111 with 3K blind an overbet in this situation. Its just under 4BB i thought that was fairly standard?

Easy ass push.
EDIT: Also, your reasoning is off. Having 23K chips, roughly, at the 3K blind level is not easy to come back with. You have less than 8 BBs not to mention the antes in play.BOSS

For me it's either push preflop or call and push any flop. I don't think you can be throwing away these hands at this point of an MTT.
I lean towards the preflop shove though.
EDIT: I mean pushing to his re-raise pre-flop, not open shoving. I like the original raise but as Alex said I would make it 9k.Last edited by davidab157; 03-30-2007 at 01:18 AM.
For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

i'd expect to see AK here more than QQ+ so I'd push. people like to call preflop and slowplay their big pairs i've noticed in MTT's, especially against a player who has been aggressive/raising a lot pf
