Default Is there any shame in folding here?

The villain hadn't been at the table too long, maybe 20-25 hands, but he had only played about 1 or 2 hands since sitting down. As for myself, I had been fairly aggressive over the last 6 or 7 hands and had won about 4 of them without going to showdown. I had been on a pretty good rush of cards but the table didn't know it.

I thought about shoving but figured there was a good chance I could get called but AK/AQ and definitely called by JJ+. I didn't want to just call and go broke on a 9 high flop or be faced with a tough decision when the board comes Q45.

So is there any shame in folding here?

IMO no shame in folding, I probably do the same depending on what stage of the tourney we are at.

If the villain had been more active I don't mind calling and shoving the flop.
For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.

I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.
