$6 dollars in pot, villian (only 1 of them) has $16 left... you got top pair with outside draw... fuck it, I would likely push. He probably has A-Q, Ax, just hope x doesnt = 10. He could also have a middle/low pair.

I don't see why there's a question here? He could've called you with any pair that didn't see this board, any AXs, any broadway. If he caught the flop, you have outs to the redraw.
I hope for a 3-bet all-in. I bet out $4 then call his all-in, or if he min-raises, I put him all-in.BOSS

Given:
- You put 5bb of his 36bb in preflop
- He limp called which means theres a good chance he has a low pair and not likely he has hit a set here.
- You have outs if he does have 2 pair
- He's shortstacked so likely a donk
I would pot it and call a shove or push all in on any turn.

I bet $5, villain min-raised me. I'm pretty sure I'm screwed but took the same line as you guys and shoved, he calls.
Villain shows ATo.
edit: I figured the limp/call PF probably meant small pair or something like KQ/KJ/AJ. So when the villain min raised, I was more afraid of the 2 pair than anything.Last edited by Mr.McJ; 03-06-2007 at 04:19 PM.

You're not WA/WB here. He can come over the top of you with some gambles where he's pushing a flip like an Ace high FD or some hands like KT/QT/JT where he can think he's only a slight dog at worst when you have him beat and have his outs dead.
One alternative is a CRAI so you get worse hands to trap their money in the pot, but the opponent would have to be an aggressive sucker. Generally, I like committing with $5 and calling a push here. Were the clubs not out there, betting $4 and folding to a push wouldn't be bad, but we have to protect our hand and his limp/call PF on the button after 1 limper's usually gonna be a suited Ace, suited Jack down to J7, bottom 2, middle or bottom pair with an open-ender, or a straight when he comes over the top of us on the flop. AT's gonna slowplay as much as JT/QT, and bad Kings are gonna play it safe and check/call it down.

against a guy with more chips i dont see anything wrong with a CF.
but against a donk shortstack who could have god knows what, you have to go broke here

I bet enough to be sure I wont be able to fold later in the hand... (note that its cause villain has only $18 or so... I would play it differently if he's long stack)
The flop is not that bad... You probably have the best right now. I f not you certainly have outs...
