I was in a $6 45 man turbo SNG last night at the final table..... Medium chip stack and i was dealt AQ in the BB....everyone folds to button.....he is chip leader and raises to 4k....blinds are 1k/2k...hes got 13k and i have 8k....i figure him as stealing as he has done the 3 previous times i had the BB at the table...Had him raising any two, which is probably true...He raises, i push, and he flips pocket rockets to my AQ, so i bust 6th, when i could have put it on auto fold and gotten at least 4th... I figure oh well i was playing for first ayway.... Did i make a bad decision, or just unlucky that he happened to have something that time?

Misplayed or just unlucky?

With the blinds that high in relation to your stack, you have to push there. To run into aces is unlucky, you played it fine imo.
For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

I don't think this hand is very interesting at all. And I dont' mean that in a bad way. Sure you have to be able to defend your blinds but with 4 BB's it's just bad timing. I may have folded depending on the how the other players were playing. I'd rather push it in from LP and have a good chance of others folding out. But what I really find interesting from this is how many people just want to make the money. What you'll find from the best players in the world is they'll have an epiphony (And I'm not declaring myself a worlds best) But anyways... They hit a point where money isn't good enough. If your ever playing to just make the money I think it's a bad mentality. As you'll read in almost any book, when your close to the money and people are playing ultra tight, it's your best chance to take down pots. I just like not looking at money positions and differentials, I look to make good decisions and win tournies... I think you should aim a little higher than making the money in some small SnG's. PLAY TO WIN!

Not only was it correct to push with AQ, it probably would have been fine with any Ax, every pair, and a bunch of Kx hands. You're 4bb deep and a guy is raising from stealing position number one.

I cant see you folding anything looking like a hand here... even 67s would look good IMHO.
You have 8K... meaning your M is under 3!!!!!
You cant lost you BB here!
