hey guys, i just started playing omaha h/l, 8. i received j,2,10,a. the board comes down 876j2. so i thought i would win the low hand, but my opponent had 5,5,9,a and he won the low hand. maybe im just an idiot who doent know the rules yet, but i thought, you pick 2 cards from your hand and 3 from the board, so i thought i would have the nuts in this case. ie. a,2,6,7,8. could anyone please clear this up for me.

He has a2567... so a 7 high, you have 8 high. He wins low.

yeah cos there's a 2 on the board he can use it with A5 for a better low (A2567 vs A2678).
KJ I did the same thing, went onto a PLO table with one of my mates and said confidently "I've got AAAA" then got busted. Lots of abuse after that
think I'm over that now (still a donk at PLO though!)For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.
