    once you've raised you can't really put it down, not sure about the raise tho

    Agreewith Placid on both counts.

    Were there antes in place?

    I think you maybe didn't need to open for 3.5x the BB and 2.5x or 3x would give the same message and allow you to fold when he comes over the top. be interesting to see what the tourney players think but I am sure generall speaking smaller raises are better.

    Yes, antes were at $150, my open raise was pot-sized.

    I like the raise. Blinds are definitely worth stealing and you're pricing yourself in against button/sb pushing. Obv you call the sb raise, his range is huge.

    With the big stack out of the hand, it's there for you to steal.

    Wota- i'm not sure about others opinions but for me a raise to 3.5bb is the minimum for me at that point, a smaller one might tempt in the bb imo.
