I am low in chips. Running ice cold. I was waiting to pick a spot to pick up some desperately needed chips. Villian is pretty tight. I figured if he had A good kicker I could get him off his hand.

You still have an M hovering near 11, I wouldn't say you are "desperate" yet, but soon to be.
I tend to respect early raises from tight players. What were your stats like at this point? If you were pretty tight up to now, say 15-20 VP$P, than I think this has a great chance of working against a tight player.
But if you are over 25-30, than you are likely to be called with a coin flip, or worse, 99-JJ.Last edited by wastrel; 02-11-2007 at 12:10 PM.
If you are one in a million, there's eight just like you in Manhattan.
