Im not a poker pro or anything but I've never ran into your situation. Heres how I avoid it you didnt raise preflop if your going to make a play with these cards raise preflop depending on your position/read on your opponenets. On the flop its multiway pot so Chasing I would not and would have laid down the hand. So raise preflop and get out of the habit of chasing flushes/straights.
