    Default Can you avoid this?

    I really don't see any mistakes on my part. Just a crappy hand?

    Poker Stars
    No Limit Holdem Tournament
    Blinds: t200/t400
    (Ante: t25)
    6 players
    Converter

    Stack sizes:
    wastrel: t655
    UTG+1: t1255
    CO: t6465
    Button: t2695
    SB: t1275
    BB: t4665

    Pre-flop: (6 players) wastrel is UTG with
    wastrel raises all-in t630, 3 folds, SB calls t430 (pot was t1380), BB calls t230 (pot was t1810).

    Flop: (t2040, 2 players + 1 all-in - Main pot: t2040)
    SB checks, BB checks.

    Turn: (t2040, 2 players + 1 all-in - Main pot: t2040)
    SB is all-in t620, BB calls t620 (pot was t2660).

    River: (t3280, 1 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: t2040, Sidepot 1: t1240)


    Results:
    Final pot: t3280
    SB showed 5h Ks
    BB showed 9h 9c
    wastrel showed Ac Ad

    I don't see what your questioning. You've got 1.5x the BB and have AA PF. All-in with the best hand PF, how can losing be avoided?

    I'm assuming you lost a hand to get that short stacked and not just let yourself blind away.
