like i said in my first post, makes it look like a call me bet/weakness betdepending on his read of you, i also like the idea of the double check behind for later purposes when or if you make this play again

Agreed. You're either badly beat on the turn or he's leading because he called the flop with an Ace-hi FD. Otherwise, you're way ahead and can give a free card and call the river because he'll bet the river with almost any 2. A spade's an easy fold, but 75% of the deck is a valuable check-turn/call-river.
As played, fold. Usually, if you're taking someone to Valuetown, you have to call overbets here, but you're not good enough against his range as the only draw that didn't get there was a bad K-hi FD or low FD. Aces up and KT is most likely from Villian here, IMO.

I think the river bet is a must. Villian showed weakness and is extremely unlikely to have monster hand. KT of diamonds? That's the only real threat.

checking the turn is pretty good. i would check turn here maybe 50% of the time depending on how i felt like playing the hand.
also i like a harder flop raise. personally i would have popped that up to at least 11$.
also if u bet the turn u should bet harder imo. a bet of like 16-17$ looks good .
as played, i would have just checked behind on that river.
definately fold to that river raise.
