CO in this hand has just bluffed of most of his stack with J9s without a pair or draw about 5 hands ago. Even before that he was very aggressive and raised a fair few hands by up to 6x BB, not shown down any. I think he's tilting.
I haven't been involved in any big hands yet.

I throw it away. Have to think your beat after an all-in and 2 callers. Think you need to reraise it more PF also, make it 8-10.

Yeah. Make this $10 preflop. Raising to 6'll still make this a 3-way pot at least. Taking it down preflop isn't bad, but you have to isolate at least and the only way to do that is to make a bet that can win it preflop. It's only $7.60 to you but I'd want the stacks to be deeper so the reverse implied odds aren't against me. Fold. His call's weak and there's $45+ in the pot, so pushing does have value, but you can push with the best hand and still lose a lot.
Tough spot.

Raise to $8 PF. And, call the shove if there are no other callers.
As played, it looks like 2 of the opponents are short-stacked, so I don't put them on a great hand...but A high is likely.
The person you should be most worried about of course is the UTG with $65.
I would put him on a mid PP at this point or AK/AQ.
Only time I'll really lay down QQ is if I feel certain the guy has KK/AA or if the raise is abnormally large amount (all in).
Also, with so many callers, it would be safe to assume that many of them share cards: A or K are most likely. Therefore, they may have each others outs leaving you as a big fave to win.
I would call here...b/c you're getting great pot-odds and you're gold if you flop a set. If flop has A or K, I'd check/fold.... but, I'm def seeing a flop since I'm getting great odds.

Thanks - I take the point about raising more pf, given there was a raise and a caller.
As it played out and I saw the action after me and thought that 1 of them had aces or kings. I decided to fold.
UTG had AK
UTG + 1 had JJ
Tilt Monkey had AJ.
I was worried about UTG mainly, and if I had spent a bit more time considering his flat call of tilt monkeys all in then I may have reached a different decision.
FWIW - A Q appeared on the flop and I would have picked up a monster pot, but I suppose I made a read and acted on it.
PJ94Z - You're right about the pot odds. I've got to be honest and say that at the time I didn't realise that I was getting around 5-1. I was trying to decipher the pre-flop action to put people on hands when really the price I was getting meant that even if they did have higher PPs (especially UTG) then it was worth a call. After the hand I read the HH back again and realised that I might have made a mistake - hence posting on here.Last edited by Meldon; 01-18-2007 at 11:38 PM.
