Default decent spot for a squeeze?

a squeeze play is basically a preflop re raise that will knock players out of the pot in order to create dead money. its especially good in spots like this when KJs is way ahead of the pushers range, and even if its not it doesn't matter, if we can get the caller in the blind to fold we freeroll the dead money.

the only problem is, the blind is kinda short, and once he calls the shove i tend to believe he is calling 2k more for good pot odds and all.

if he has more chips i shove all day long

yep, re-raise that pf.. c/o is raising any 2 there and thus is gonna be folding to ur pf rr alot.. and sb is definately not calling ur re-raise.

edit: woops didnt see stack sizes, co is pretty much all in.. im pretty sure u beat his pushing range here, id re-raise this pf and put sb all in as well.

CO seems to be keeping some chips back incase he doesn't like the flop . I'm re-raising here and putting the sb all in, don't think he'll call and you should be in pretty decent shape against CO.

I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

Well, you raise and the SB folds, you're showing down 100% of the time, so the logic that applies for a squeeze doesn't really apply here because you can have the CO beat and still lose. So the ~1800 in the pot for the 2865 push is still high variance in the 3:2's you lose to the CO and I doubt you're going HU for the overlay enough either.

The SB won't fold a pair and I made this iso-push thinking I beat a lot of Broadways and Axs's, but this is usually indicative of a pair that'll get outflopped, but not fold preflop. I've been bluffing dry side pots in these spots lately, to be honest just because I'm ahead of the CO's pushing range. Swingy play that I'm still unsure because of a low sample.

It's so early that SB isn't folding enough IMO and you crapshoot against 2 hands over the course of 5 cards. Still sure the best way to approach is to take a flop, check it down and make bets/calls for value postflop. At 100/200, the 2900 to lose is still worth more than the 1800 to gain by knocking out the SB and beating the CO along with winning the 3-way all in.
