This bet means a PP, or AK. No way of telling how big the pair is without being at the table for a while. He was either trapping the whole time or was limping with a 88 or lower trying to catch a set. You are not a favorite no matter what so a good fold.

Normally I fold before I make the first raise. If I make the raise which I sometimes will, I'll raise it up more then I'll fold to the push.

A call would be questionable with AKs. Definate fold, yes. You gotta put him on a non-drawing hand.
