Like I said in river rats section, there is not much you can do to win this particular hand.
In general a lot of the AA hands you post are ones where you have a chance to make a re-raise PF. When you are first to raise the pot, you should make the standard raise depending on how many limpers there were. But when there is already a raise in front of you you should definitely re-raise much more. In this case to about $2.
It seems that you always want to build a big pot whenever you have AA, you should be content with winning some smaller ones by making larger re-raises PF and pushing out the competition.
I am about 15 for 15 with my pocket aces recently, but most of those pots were won PF with a large raise. I only saw about 5 flops, and only 2 turns and rivers (those were all-in PF). With aces you are likely to win a small pot or lose a big one, be happy with just the winning.

You played it fine. You put pressure on your opponent to make big mistakes by taking bad propositions were he to be able to see your cards. Just got unlucky. It's not about stakes. I got stacked with KK against someone holding JT last night and the action was almost exactly the same. It happens.
