Having problems with the hand converters from UB history but I've done my best to make it readable. No specific reads on anyone at the table but from the play I did see none of them looked particularly clued up on omaha (neither am I though!).
What i want to know is can I possibly get away from this hand? Or should I have bet differently?

Can I get away from this?

Seriously fold preflop. Very weak hand.
Look for starting hands which are more coordinated such as:
AKQT
9987 with at least one suited
A8s76
I am a (very) tight Omaha player but I would regularly fold QQxx or even KKxx.
Playing that hand there you are essentially looking for only a 9 high flop (9 high flush or flush draw is garbage in Omaha as is a king or even trip kings with a 9 kicker.).
In addition 99 can never be the nuts by even the turn (unless you hit quads)since if there are 3 undercards a straight will be possible.

Thanks for that. figured my call pf was a bit loose but it was the 99 that dragged me in. What hands are you looking for before you raise preflop and is it a case of don't bluff when you miss the flop, as opposed to holdem where a cb will often take the pot?

I think you can get away from this, he has to at least have you outkicked, as it turned out he had the nuts. I probably just call his bet on the turn and if he's a donk I'll call another on the river.
Could god microwave a burrito so hot, that he himself could not eat it?

Probably not worth listening to me unless you want to be a super super tight player (this only applies to 9 handed).
I will raise with hands like:
- AAKQ, AAJT, AAK9ds
- Any four broadway cards if at least 1 suited, preferably 2
- 5678+ looking to flop a megawrap draw, again if (double) suited its a sronger hand. Although if you flop just a 9 high flush draw its a check fold. Your suits main value comes as either a backdoor flush draw or a redraw.
E.g holding 5678 the flop is 456 with 2 diamonds, you may get all in with someone else holding 78 and have a guaranteed split + 35% chance of winning whole pot.
Like I said I am super tight but I will fold a hand unless all 4 cards work together. Eg I will always muck hands like KKT3, AK78, QQ45, AKT5

It is sometimes worth c-betting if you have raised especially if an A flops cos most people will put you on AAxx when you raise anyway, however I would advise to initially bluff very little.
