Twice tonight (from the blind) I've flopped random 2 pairs. Both times the board had 2 of one suit, possibly giving someone a flush draw. Both times I overbet the pot trying to discourage flush chasers (and both times tonight they caught the flush).
Am I playing it correctly? Or is 2 pair really not that big of a hand here?
Edit: Just looked at the hand history. The first time I flopped trips(A8 with 882 flop), the second time was two pair (Q7 with Q27 flop)

You need to post hand history.
E.g.
If you have $100 and its limped pot.
Flop was q72 you bet 5 into 5 and got 2 calls.
3rd heart came you lose the other 95 of your stack.
You were correct to bet the flop, you just need to be able to slow down when the board changes and either check-call small bet or check-fold when flush hits.
