im going to repop AK to a button raise pretty much every single time.
as played a check raise is probably fine. i dont know this is why i repop, it feels so awkward on this flop no matter what i do. this is probably why you posted the hand, because it feels so weird with so many chips.

Agree with re-popping from the SB. I'd repop an MP raiser and a loose EP raiser with AK in the SB.
I disagree with a CR on the flop deep stacked. Lead into the players with a good pot'ish bet. That's a callable raise and you can check/evaluate on the turn, but going broke shouldn't happen when the pot's 10% of your stack on the flop. If he doesn't have you beat, your call's gonna scare him more than his raise did to you.
I just don't like the CR because he call flat-call with anything that beats you and maybe even stack you. The advatange is if the button is a strong TAG because he'll give you a 3-bet to get away from the hand when you're beat. Paying little attention, I lead the flop.

i just hate leading into the pfr without a monster alex.

More often than not it will force him to define his hand while costing you less.
In this case we've gotten some information for only $6. If we were to check to the PFR who then bets $6, a c/r is going to cost us at least $18 and we still won't have anymore information than we would have had if we had lead out for $6.
I call the villains re-raise and check to him on the turn.
