I thought there was a pretty good chance I had the best hand here but last time I called with the nut straight on a board like that against 2 opponents one guy filled up on the river and I missed the payout by one This affected my decision quite a bit!

I know that it's best to get your chips in with the best hand but was I correct to fold this (ignoring the Q on the river that would have busted me)?

With that many people in the hand I figured that although I may have had the best hand there were a lot of outs that were beating me. Any spade for example, or a 10 to give someone broadway, or the board pairing to give someone a boat.

It was an enormous pot and had I taken it down I would have been massive chip leader but my thought process was that it's better to fold what's probably the best hand here with that many people in than call and get drawn out on and be crippled.

Great laydown or am I a pussy?! lol

Is this a one table tourney? If so then you are definitely a pussy, because with 8 players left you have to call there. It would have been the correct call even though you would have lost. If there are 4 or 5 players left, and 3 of them want to go all-in, then that is a situation when folding is still not the correct move, but can be considered.

Shouldn't of folded. River card would of beat you, but take that out of the equation and you folded the winner. Horrible but lucky fold. Congrats.

No point folding there with 7 players left fearing you will get outdrawn.

Maybe if there are 4 left and folding will guarantee you place ITM then folding is correct.

Ok fair enough, I'm glad I folded though. As I said, that VERY similar hand I had on PS recently where I had JTs and had the nuts with AQ98 on the board v AQ and A8 and got rivered by a queen influenced my decision. Seems like PS has a pattern.

But before you go saying horrible fold, I didn't have the nuts and there were 3 people going all in!!!! I couldn't rule out someone having KT. Who else calls without the nuts when 3 people are willing to put all their chips in?!
