No point in betting the turn, you played this just how i would have, fold to any bet. shitty deck, another cooler.

I'm interested to know why you both would bet less than half the pot on that board?
Personally I would have bet around $3. Maybe I'm losing value on my sets by betting strongly, but I usually find that OESDs and flushdraws call anyway. You may as well make them pay top prices to chase.

I also bet pot on the flop, or check. That's not the sort of board someone with AK is likely to try and make a bluff raise on (far more likely to cont. bet) so if betting so small you may as well check raise.
If someone with an overpair is going to raise your bet, they are imo just as likely to raise a $3 bet as a $1.50 bet and you have more chance of commiting them. AA/KK can just pop that up to $4 and then fold to a reraise or check-fold turn pretty cheaply. If you bet out $3 and he makes it $8 or so you can make far more on later streets.
I think the weak bet would be more likely to get a bluff raise on a board like
J62.
