FHe was hoping for a raise, at any time, that he could reraise, but you are absolutely right.. calling all three streets was a horrible play for him.

Any reason you never put a feeler out there since there was no raise pre-flop?

When I think about it... either you're already beat or there's not much people could be drawing to except a set (full house with board paired) or a gut-shot straight. Maybe you could have got some more out of someone with Ax < 9, but it's not worth the risk. Checking was best for you.

To be fair there isn't much to fear getting outdrawn on that board.

Any A he is currentl ahead of is quite likely going to end up splitting.

Any 2 cards like TJ, JQ have 4 straight outs.

Any pocket pair has 2 outs.

Maybe looking for cheap showdown isn't a bad play. I'm sure you would be calling a river bet hoping to pick off a bluff.
