Default Advice please AK hand NL 5/10c

Been seated for maybe twenty minutes, limited read on MP3 as reasonably tight, decent player. Saw him raise same amount pre-flop and showdown 10/10 in early positon and K9S in later position.

My table image should be tight, I've played maybe two hands in that twenty minutes, and only got to show down once which I won with a straight V TPTK.

The PF raise had me thinking mid pocket pair or AQ maybe AJ. So I call and see if I hit the flop.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($7.55)
    BB ($8.60)
    UTG ($3.95)
    UTG+1 ($8.60)
    MP1 ($8.85)
    MP2 ($5.45)
    MP3 ($15.90)
    CO ($11.10)
    Button ($10.25)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, A.
    4 folds, MP3 raises to $0.3, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.25, BB calls $0.20.

    Flop: ($0.90) J, 7, A (3 players)
Hero bets $0.5, BB folds, MP3 raises to $1.4, Hero calls $0.90.

So I hit the flop nicely enough, the check raise startled me somewhat since I put him AJ as a possible hand. 77 is also a chance so I choose to call and maybe check call the rest of the way unless I get some serious help.

    Turn: ($3.70) J (2 players)
    Hero checks, MP3 checks.

Well that card does nothing to ease my mind, albeit a club, I figure even if I hit my flush, I may be beat already, so I check, and suprisingly so does he. This suddenly changes my thinking and has me thinking he has me on AJ, or at least he's afraid of it. Now I'm leaning toward AQ or 77.

    River: ($3.70) 9 (2 players)
    Hero bets $0.5, MP3 calls $0.50.

I hit my flush, and I'm almost sure I'm winning this although the tiny bet, and looking back it's almost stupidly small, was there to see if he goes nuts on me.

    Final Pot: $4.70

So how bad was this play?

I re-raise on the flop. At this level he could've easily raised PF with A-junk and re-raised you on the flop to see if you hit.

Him shutting down on the turn means he's beat. I lead the turn, by the way. You have TPTK and the nut flush draw. If he raises, I push.

EDIT: Also raise PF. You're OOP, I want this now. Pop it to $1.

Absolutely agree with everything Seany said except the flop reraise. Personally I think you would have taken it down if you bet on the turn.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

I would just call the pf raise, I hate building a large pot with AK. I agree that you should reraise here on the flop, at these levels, I treat TPTK as the nuts. I also don t think he is creative enough to raise 77 preflop. I would only be worried about jj, and since the turn was one I doubt he has quads. I also doubt he has a single jack as he reraised the flop, looks like he has a weaker ace to me. I would also bet the turn, and hammer the river. I would be looking to double here. What ended up happening?

He mucked it, so no telling what he had, I'm going to give him credit and say a lesser ace.

played this very poorly. re pot it pf. if you dont then at least chek raise this flop.

line you take where you call .90 instead of reraising is retarded. only AJ is beating you. set would have slowplayed you. re raise flop.

    bet this turn
I get more ass than a toilet seat. All shapes/colors/sizes.

The only reason to raise AK here pf is if you have FE, imo.

If you get called 100% of the time, calling or pushing is better.

The Stars hand histories contain all hands that made it to showdown, even if they were mucked at the actual table. If you still have it, you can go look if you're curious enough.

Ouch! The first thing I do when someone mucks a hand at show down is check the hand history for his cards. Gotta have as much information as possible online since you cant look them in the eye. Of course, chances are I have Poker Office running, and I have it set to show me the mucked cards automatically for a few seconds
