I was MP1....
I still stand by my original view that its a horrible play. He has middle pair with a shitty kicker and the 4th best flush draw. I may be playing too tight for my own good because i never push here with a bet and a significant raise infront of me.
But meh....i know nothing, im just pissed cos i was playing solid and got lucked out on.

In Shaleseys defence..........
Using PokerStove he had 34% chance to win the hand in this scenario, and even if one of them has flopped trips he would have had 30% equity. This means if you know you are getting 2 calls by overpair/2pair/trips type hands it is pretty much a zero expectation play in terms of chips.
Add to this he must have a large amount of fold equity over the original better (who he covers by 1255 chips), and a lesser amount over the 2nd player (who he covers by 1860 chips).
The absolute worst case scenario if he loses the hand is he is left with 1255 chips (12BB), it is probably more likely he will be left with 1860 (18BB). Neither of these situations remove him from having a chance of winning the tournament.
Plus he gains the huge equity of knocking 1 or 2 players out the tournament.
All in all I think this was a very +EV play.
Easy Push.

I think the aces belong in the muck here. The first raise could be TPTK but the second is either tp/trips or a monster draw. I dont mind the UTG limp as much as Beav, it pays off big time if there's a raise. I onced raised the bullets UTG and got no action (had them 3 times in this PFO tourney lol)
Imo MP1's play is best. Since he has two pair, he is somewhat less afraid of trips, and probably puts the other 2 on drawing hands, overpair or TPTK.Last edited by OrionPro; 10-22-2006 at 04:04 PM.
