Default Floped open ended straight flush

I am at work and bored and a hand is still on my mind from the Dublin EPT qualifier. I'm 2nd in chips about $12k in front of me. Bullying the table. I then take a hit from a nice slow played AA with 99 on a baby flop for $4k.

I'm on slight tilt at this point. Little bit annoyed. JT spades in CO I think it was and 4 limpers in front. $8k in my stack and BB is $200. I call and Button raises to $700. Making the pot $1200 in total. Its $500 to call so I gamble a flop out of position in hope of floping a monstor.

Flop is 8 9 spades and K Clubs. Giving me an open ended straight flush draw.

What would you do in this spot? Button has about $5300 left. I have about $7300 left. Pot is $1700.

I'm heading home now so i'll add the hand history when I get home.

In a cash game I check-raise all in.

Considering he can do you serious harm, there may be an argument for check-calling with odds to hit hand in a tournie.

He re-raised. I am putting him on a stong hand. Possibly AK, AA, KK-99 which has you beat right now but you have plenty of outs. I check and wait to see if he makes a move for the pot. He can pretty much knock you out of the tourney if he is holding AK and you don't hit. This is part of the dilemna faced when playing out of position. You put yourself in a position to be pressured to make a decision which could hurt you if he isn't bluffing.

I check, let him play the aggressor if he chooses to and fight another day if he pushes or makes a pot sized bet. I am sure you are playing against a made hand and if he is holding AK, AA, KK-99 he is calling any push you make.

That is my play. Seany may come along and say it is scared play but if I am wrong and he is right, I miss out on a pot. If I am right and he is wrong he is down to a very low chip count.

Check, maybe he checks and gives you a free card or makes a small enough bet that favors the pot odds.

his small raise just tell me he's on a big hand... at least a hand he will take a stab at the pot with...

I check raise it all in... if he goes all in... wich is probable, I call.

If he checks, I will interpret it as a sign of weakness, and I'll go all in on turn nomather waht the turn brings. hopefully we'll hit one of our 15 outs....

you are favorite on anything but a set if you can see the last 2 streets from the flop... however with the vheck raise you dont have a lot of fold equity...

Might be smart to shove right here!

Who knows, I,m on tilt right now anyway!!!

I pushed all in. He insta called and showed AK Spades. I shouted Mother Fucker at the screen and my hand didn't improve. I still had 8 outs if he didn't hit a spade but that and KQ spades are the only hands that had me fucked.

    Dam it!!!

I forgot AKs and KQ in my analysis!

But I still think its a good move! You are way ahead of the range of hands he could be playing!
