Default playing on the bubble of a sng.

a good sng player will have the most 4th and 1st place finishes. the bubble is a good spot to push agressively and pick up chips. going into the final 3 low stacked, i always wonder if i have made a mistake somwhere down the line.

here are some pushes i frequently make, hopefully these give you an idea of where to pick up some chips.

    Full Tilt Poker
    No Limit Holdem Tournament
    Blinds: t60/t120
    4 players
    Converter

Pre-flop: (4 players) hero is SB with
2 folds, hero raises all-in t1075, BB folds.
Uncalled bets: t955 returned to hero.

    Results:
    Final pot: t240

    Full Tilt Poker
    No Limit Holdem Tournament
    Blinds: t80/t160
    4 players
    Converter

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is SB with
2 folds, Hero raises all-in t1795, BB folds.
Uncalled bets: t1635 returned to Hero.

    Results:
    Final pot: t320

here is a resteal. he was raising here with any 2 cards, and i had an A. there was enough in my stack so i thought i had fold equity.

I don't agree with good player having lots of 4th finishes.
Using your stack effectively is very important when 4-5 handed with blinds going up rapidly..

You are going to have to show each player's stacks in the hand history you provided to see if you played them correctly.

good bubble play on all those hands imo..
especially the last one, you are ahead there majority of the time because his raising range is so huge.

i had less than 10 bb's in each hand

good players have many 4th place finishes(and lots of 1st place finishes) due to agressive bubble play. you want to shove alot, gambling for more chips.

    what would you rather get. 4th and a 1st, or two 3rds. a 2nd and a 3rd barely makes more money than a 1st and a 4th.

i dont reccomend ALWAYS shoving there with an ace. its read dependant. this guy was playing agressive and i thought he had a huge range here (and, could fold to a push some of the time) against your typical weak tight sng player who at least has a pair or an ace here, i might not try this.
