Default when to play for the final table or to live for another day

i was reading a post by TA the other day when he shoved a hand he normally wouldnt do it because he was playing to win the tournament...

that thought crossed my mind on this hand, been pretty tight all tournament getting lucky here and there and hit one huge hand that gave me my chips....with about 38 people left, did i need to make a move here? can i handle a couple more orbits and hope for the cards? or do i go for it?

do i call? push? situations like these im not so good at as other people are

our villian had been pretty tag, playing a couple pots and bullying people around i did get him with my kq hand which he raised to 600 on the button with, what does he raise utg with? is he that strong? ak aq? aa kk?

i honestly put him on ak maybe aq 77-99 jj was a possiblity, he had been trying to dominate the table iwth his chips...

post flop im probably not gonna get away from this hand unless he under bets and i reraise and he reraises me otheriwse he would probably try to do the same thing on the turn and i maybe able to get away from it

I dont think I would push with tens here. You have an M of 15, so I would definitely wait a little longer for a better possible hand. If I was trying to win this thing this is not the hand I would choose to do a push early with.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

I would defininely wait here, as he already showed you he means business when you cracked his queens. I would just stay out of his way.

I call here. Without the highest pairs (KK+, maybe QQ) I'm not reraising. Postflop you may go broke here, dependent on how your opponent plays. But it's also possible you'll get away with losing only half your stack.

i think i kinda agree with fishy

id like to open this hand with a raise, not a call, i think i can get away from this hand post flop

preflop with the cards i havent seen it was to hard to get away from these guys...remember his raise with the queens was 600

aa - qq would of been 400-650, 800 shows a sign of weakness...i think when i talkd in the main of the chat i may of gave my hand away and he calld but i think next time i can probably fold these and live

    push: no
you have plenty in your stack to not need to gamble here. a tag player raises in early position.... there arent many hands you can beat

i think i would call here though. his range is pretty narrow, however if we hit a T we might double up, if he has a big pair. if we are beat postflop its not too hard to figure it out, (if he leads into you on a low flop, smooth call, he will check if he missed, if he leads again you are beat)

also there are some flops we might get him to fold a bigger pair on.
