I see these donkey re-raises all the time in the SnGs. What the bet does scream is weak pocket pair! You are GUARANTEED to get called with any other pocket pair JJ or better! While the play works fairly well agaisnt a solid player not willing to get into a race for large chuck of his stack (solid player figure they're better pokerplayers and can make up these loses with skill so will not risk large loses in marginal situations such as races), they are more vunerable to looser players who will call with Ax (x=anything) and short stacks looking to double up.

You're M = 15+ so you are not short-stacked and the risk isn't worth the play imo. It was worth a call hoping for a rag board or trips to then get him all-in. As it was you stole 800 whereas if you had played it more skillfully, you could have doubled up at considerably less risk.

BTW - if you're going to continue with this kind of play make sure you include AA and KK. I've noticed the same players who over-raise weak pocket pairs will also Limp their high ones - double donkey!

Why doesn't his raise scream 4 to 1 dog to you? Seems like a standard raise to me for AA or KK. I don't like the push because when you're called your at best a coinflip, but in most cases are a 4 to 1 dog, I don't think he folds enough times for this to be profitable.
Could god microwave a burrito so hot, that he himself could not eat it?

Your raise told that you had a hand that you don't wanna see a flop with, but if you have to, you probably have the best hand for now.

His raise looks like he's trying to pick up the dead money. You know him as tight, so he'll probably lay down. Aces aren't a fear. He raised too much. I wouldn't fear Kings much either because he doesn't wanna see a flop, but he could be one of those overprotective pussies- I don't know. Good push. He pretty has to fold AQ, AJ, KQ, and probably tens here.
