We are in the BB with![]()
We attack some limpers with a raise and chase out all but the first one UTG.
Stacks both $18000 and blinds $100/$200. So, no need to panic.
Opponent calls our pot-sized bet on the flop, and board after turn is

Pot is $10k (we have $13k left, depending on size of PF raise though)
Now Harrington wants to move all-in, which imo is kind of silly. According to PokerStove we're an underdog to the calling range, 22,55,66,88+ and AK/AQ with 1 or 2 hearts. Note that it's beyond me why anyone would call a pot-sized bet on the flop with AKo, but that's basically the calling range Harrington gives himself. Note the pot is pretty huge, so anyone who called on the flop should stick around, so I dont see any fold equity here either for our all-in move. Also note that after the flop, Harrington says NOT to push, because only hands that are beating us would call.
What am I missing here? The key here is imo our preflop raise, which should chase away all weaklings like A2o or similar junk. Note that the calling range above is even somewhat generous, since a hand like 99 without a heart is unlikely to call.

I had a hand similar to this that I posted in the Hand Analysis Forum called "Critique This Hand Pease II." I checked it down without a flush on the board and people didn't mind it. Of course, in my hand a King hit the turn.
I don't mind a push here because no one's slowplaying a set to that flop and we didn't get check-raised. We'll get called by a lot of lower pairs and the only bigger hearts out there would be unpaired, judging from prior actions.

The way you played it is a lot better imo, risking few chips. OOP after a call, pushing really looks like gambling to me. Check-raising all-in on the flop should be better, since now there's a possibility he bluffed. Or, slowing down on the turn like you did.
