    How did I mess this hand up?
    Should have check-raised the flop or better yet, bet right out. You have to figure that one of them is drawing so make 'em pay.

    I bet out on the flop here especially with the straight draw on board. Your hand is too dangerous to slowplay, you do not want to be giving free cards here. You dont have the nuts on the flop either. If you had 44 or 45 then giving the free card is ok, since you letting someone hit their straight so you make money off them.

    Bet the flop, bet the turn, bet the river, IMO you loose more money through hands you should have protected than trapping by slowplaying, which doesnt always work.

    Raise flop to $100. He'll probably still come along and you'll still lose...but at least get the $ when you get a solid hand.
