Early in a $10 MTT. I felt that his small reraise pf was screaming for action so I just called it down. Then he min bets the flop, which to me makes me think he has a overpair (KK or AA) and wants me to raise here. Turn is a blank, and he checks to me... what do you do here?

I decided to make a probe bet fully enticipating a min reraise which I got, I smelt a rat so I tossed the hand away (even though it was fairly easy fold since I had nothing anyway)...

But what if you had QQ or JJ here? do you play this differently even when you really feel he has a monster hand here?

Easy fold here. For a little posturing, I'll raise the flop to 100 and fold to a raise or check it down for the free river. Fuck the size of the pot on this flop. He's got a hand or he doesn't here. This is early and your implied odds mean shit when you're drawing dead so early.

That min. bet on the flop was an effort to embarrass you or make you fish and you find out which with a raise because he gets embarrassed when he folds and you look good with a little acting job before you fold to his raise.
