Default What do you do? Do you get away from this hand?

hey guys, I haven't been around in awhile, but here's a hand that got me busted in a tournament today. So we had just gotten down to the final table. Top 10 play, first place is just shy of $3000. I am second in chips with 36,500 while chip leader has around 80,000. Blinds are 2,000-4,000 (which is rather high for this point). Big stack raises to 14k utg and it's folded around to me. I look down to see KhKd and after a little deliberation push the rest of me chips in the middle. I deliberate here because I know the big stack is a solid player. The hand before this he made the same raise only to have everyone fold and he showed pocket kings. Anyways, back to my hand. So after I raise all in, after the SB thinks for a minute he folds and so does the BB. Naturally the big stack calls, exposing aces to bust me. Prior to the hand, after he exposed his kings from the hand before, I told myself that I would only play aces or kings against him. Once he raised the second time to 14k I immediately put him on a pocket pair of 10's or higher. With what I got from his raise and the knowledge that he is a solid player, would you get away from this hand? I debated laying it down, but in the end I figured if he has 10's-Q's I'm in great shape to double up and become the new CL.

Any thoughts or comments on the hand are appreciated.
all my fears, they won't leave me alone, they try to push me back, but I won't go, I'll stay right here until I fall face down in the dirt...

You have a stack of 9BB or 6 rounds of both blinds left.

You should only ever consider folding KK in this situation in very rare circumstances such as where the top x places receive the same prize, or the next step up in money had huge significane to your life, or the players shows you his cards and has 2 aces.

that would have been a horrible fold.

he could have AK/AQ as well as tt+

youre way ahead of his pushing range and ahead of his calling range. dont worry about it
