10 left in an $11 2-table SnG. i wasn't really paying attention to the table, but these min. raises seem to be cheap SnG player's way of building the pot with small pairs and naked Aces with the chance to take the pot.
Anyway, I've only played 1 hand where I had quad Queens with QJs on the button and I doubled up. The guy on my left was weak, so I wasn't losing in the blinds keeping a good enough stack without having to play.
Bear in mind that I suck at SnG's because the structure forces me play so far from my normal style. I've been playing a couple of these for fun tonight and I'm on a rush with a 4th, 1st and 3rd in 3 so far.

I'm on a SH PF steal without having to make a large investment, but really to see where I was at and be the aggressor going into the flop, but not really paying attention, I missed the size of the pot:my stack potential if we saw the flop.
Bet this? How much?

i don't like the reraise amount pre-flop at all.
You have priced him in to call, I would have went to 1,000 or all-in. The blinds + his raise are 350 which is over 10% of your stack and you'll be out of position with a hand that will hate the flop 7 out of 8 times. Lastly, you're against the chip leader and can only bet 2300ish into a 1200 pot, it will be hard to move him off any flop he caught a piece of.
I find those minimum raises to be 1 of 2 things
1) 90% a complete steal since many SnG players fold their blind to any raise at all
2) 10% a super strong hand
When I have a good but not great hand in a SnG and can increase my stack by more than 10% I try to take the pot right there. I'm not messing around with trying to play poker; Just give me the chips.
In this case I would say raise to 900-1,000. that will give you a chance to take the pot and leave you enough wiggle room to dump the hand should he come back over the top. raising 400 more is just asking him to call and giving you a real tough decision post-flop.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

Yeah. I've noticed that raisers never fold to re-raises unless it's all-in in these micros and such. If it's a super-strong hand, he's gonna re-raise all-in. He'll call another 1200 the same as 400 if he was on a steal with K2s as much as he will with T7, JT, and A9- that's just how these idiots are.

pf raise ammount sucks. either push, fold, call, or raise large enough that you are committed to the hand and you can stop n go the flop.
