Default Should I have just pushed here?

Villian in this case has been a bully at every opportunity with his CL, was calling raises with weaker than normal hands. My question is should I have pushed here pf? In hindsight I think the 800 raise commited me too much to this hand and didnt really leave me much room to make a CB post flop.

your raise was fine...you should have reraised the flop rather than calling. It said you didnt have anything. Then when the board paired on the turn you should have folded. You have nothing and hes going to do the same thing on the river.

Reraise the flop if its a lil donk bet.

How much should I re-raise though on flop? I only have 1800 in chips left. I didnt think he would fold to anything less then a all-in... but I wasnt too confident he would even fold to that since he has spare chips to call me. Didnt really want to donk away the rest of chips with A-high.

Thats why I just called, hoping to hit a A or Q on the turn.

You have an M of just over 8 and AQ suited at a 6 handed table. I think your best move here is all in preflop.

Are you calling if reraised all in? I expect the answer is yes, in which case you absolutely need to push it all in to maximise fold equity.

If he wants to call your all in with 66 and race, then so be it. At least you get to see all 5 cards to hit a pair, and arent faced with any tough decisions postflop.

pushing preflop prevents things like this from happening
