Default Fire Again or Let Him Catch His Diamond?

Villian's loose and passive. Limps a lot, but has no aggression in him, but it is early. I'm playing my normal LAG game and didn't raise PF because I wanted position on him when I was raising PF, but on second thoughts, I think I'm raising this next time and sticking to my normal game. His constant limping was getting in my head, though.

I would bet out maybe 1/2 - 2/3 pot.

If he's called flop on flush draw with paired board, he'll call turn and at least you are extracting something when he misses.
If he has trips he still calling/raising, If he has an overpair, it's still an overpair.

bet 200-350, enough to keep him enticed

then either bet rediculously big for a bluff

or bet small for him to try to resteal then push the chips...

ya def bet here and dont give him the odds to call either he didnt care about it before there is no reason he is going to now, when his diamond comes on the river you either bet small or maybe even check and allow him to try and hang himself

Yeah make a smallish bet 1/3 or 1/2 the pot, because if he is drawing to diamonds he certainly isn't gonna put anymore chips in on the river if one doesn't fall and he'll most likely call the small turn bet.

Beautiful turn card. Bet the pot again . . . .

I try to maximize value in these situations against draws. Broken draws don't pay on the river, so I always try to push in the max I think they'll call. Every now and then they do fold, but you only have to get 1 potsized bet called instead of three 1/3 pot bets to break even over making the bigger bet . . . .

And as a bonus, if he calls the bet and hits, getting him to put the rest of his stack in will be easy (some of these guys just call with a lower flush).
