The Gap Concept would say to push, but though people aren't familiar with the Gap Concept, I don't like the action you're gonna get. But that same math says that you'll get a better hand in the next 4 or 5 you're dealt. I'm guessing the ante is 250, so you only give up 1025 to get a slightly better edge to get about 13k in your stack, if your caller is out of the blinds. If you just pick up the blinds and antes, you're up to about 13k.

I'm not completely averse to pushing, but with so much in the pot before the hand's even dealt, I think you can afford one more orbit before open-pushing Jack hi with such a large gap.

That's a big problem anybody knows that those pushes are desperation so they'll call with any 2 cards.

On the other hand, we can't wait, since we need to steal again and again, so a better hand doesn't help.

Which is why I said in my first post that, The word's out on CO, button, and blind pushing weak... You have no folding equity and at this stage winning pots PF are still rewarding and no one's deep stacked enough to wanna risk too much and have to show what they called with PF.

the only words i read in this thread are where marm sayas "depends what you..."

the tiltle says "when you getting blinded out"
this suggests that the blinds are orbiting, and you keep on folding, thus loseing your 1.5bb+antes

IMO each time you lose 1.5+ you are really damaging your chances of winning the tourny. (mainly b/c when you DO decide to move in, your stack will be tiny and ppl will be more likely to call)

so my style is to start pushbotting in unopeded pots (with decent position, like MP minimum) with cards I think will be live, when im around 9bb-

A3 would not be a good hand b/c if A3+, or 44-KK calls, I will only have 3 outs.

so going all in w/ 95s is better imo.

mainly you gotta be willing to make an agressive move. if you get called its not the end of the world. but if you fold 30hands in a row w/ short stack, I believe it is much more dangerous.
