Ok, I'm sitting NL200 and catch Q3 on BB with no raises (about 5 callers). Flop comes QQ3. I slow play it and we all check to the turn (5). River comes J. I check and raise a $10 bet to $20. He goes all in and I call. He had QJ.

Now, I may have been stupid for slow playing and allowing him to catch, but really, there is no way he was ever going to fold that - not at the flop, turn or river (da).

That was one of the last hands I ever played online

I had a similar hand recently.

I had 77, and the flop came AA7. Flopped full house. All-in. The guy called me and he had A7. I went broke. Kinda sucks, eh?

Doesn't matter how you played it, neither of you were folding, so this is one of those hands where you were destined to go broke.

But unless I'm reading it completely wrong, your last sentence sort of implies you gave up poker because of things like this, but it's just the way of the game sometimes, keep at it, there's no need to give up.

do you remember the movie Rounders where (saying in retarded voice) 'Maaattt Daaamon" goes up against Teddy KGB and gets his 9's full of Aces cracked by A's over 9's .... same idea.... just a bad beat that will make u think about that everytime u look at Q 3 now . btw . and it's not like u got caught slowplaying, because even if you went all in, he would have called . and still caught it on the river .
