Default Almost went all Arieh on someone...

Those of you who watched last year WSOP Main Event might get the reference. Harry Dimetriou calls Josh's all in with QQ, and is ahead. Josh is indignant that Harry had insulted him by calling an all in with QQ. So Josh makes a flush to win and survive, and trash talks Harry about it...

I'm in a SnG ... things aren't going well. There are 8 left, blinds are 75/150, I've got 800T in the BB. 4 limpers to the short stack, who raises all-in to 300.

I've got AcQc, and 650T in front of me. I could call, but that would leave me with 500T (< 4BB), and I won't be able to get away from the hand. There's 1100+ in the pot, so I can't see folding suited AQ. So I push all-in, raising to 800.

To my dismay, 2 of the limpers call. Flop is 99x. CL raises, other caller folds. We see the cards. Short stack has rags. CL has t9o for a set, and I'm gone after the turn is a blank.

What nearly had me going Arieh in the chat window was the call. CL called an all-in pre-flop with t9o?????

I know he was getting almost 4-1 for his 650 call, but 4 handed, you've got to figure that t9o is less than 20% to win...

that is why SnGs are profitable.

it is frustrating when they beat you though.

i believe harry demitriou(sp?) had AJ with on that hand and had top pair and arieh went all in on a straight flush draw and hit his flush.
