I'd raise preflop, I'm not a big fan of trapping. What was your plan for the hand? Do you get value from limping?

You claim he is a big bluffer, but you're worried about calling him. I'm more worried about the guy who standard raised, but KK is not a hand I fold preflop late in a tournament.

It should be an insta ship for you in that spot for a few reasons 1 you're notes tell you that the guy who has shipped origionally is a bluffer therefore you have his range of hands covered 99% of the time. 2 guys like this love to ship with any pocket pair or any ace in the hope the other players are not aggressive enough to call or re ship. 3 Even though you are ahead of the other none bluff oponent 99% of the time you do not want him to see a flop for cheap if he has a pocket pair a set on the flop could de stack you, ideally you want him fold so you get his initial raise chips without racing his most likely second strongest hand. 4 You have the second best hand in holdem just because people are raising around you does not mean you are beaten by aces there are lots of hands that could be raised here you have to take your chances with kings and if aces are there its a cooler and nothing can be done, I personally am never folding kings in this spot. 5 there is a greater chance your origional raiser does not have aces as you have limped in he could have as low as 10 10 and still want to raise you're 'weak' limp preflop, also he could have a hand like AK etc and do the same. This seems like a great spot to just push here against bluffy and hope the origional raiser folds and if he calls you with AK etc you are still favourite and only need to fade an ace etc to take a big pot. Just as a random stat I think you will get aces over kings once in every 22 to times you have kings and you are 70-90 percent favourite against all other hands.

yeah so i snapped called the dude and guessed pocket jacks... i really wanted to kill this guy cause he was 3betting with fuck all when i had pocket 4s on ak flop, i did get him good though cause he had fuck all when i had a hit so was ahead all streets. the reason i limped was because i was after the big blind and wanted to watch everyones play. the guy that rased to 8k didnt worry me ... reason being he wun a hand with q9 previously from an old timer! so kinda guessed 910 suited or something.

    i snapped called

    turned over kk
    guy AA.
told the guy i couldnt fold kk,

    FLOP

    J 3 J
2 *at this point im shouting 1 time lol*
    JACK!

i bust out ... guy was a wanker about it so defo gonna go back and get him for that :P
sucked him out a few times but he was still chip leader

Well that's a cooler and nothing more guy was lucky to have the aces but agree with knights that limping with good hands like KK can get you in trouble especially if you are a tight player and people have notes on you they will know you are slow playing and will call to give you some trouble with a rubbish set of fours, they will also have the sense to know you have an overpair etc and fold to your c bet giving you either the worst payout or a potential de stack if you raise you are announcing you have a good hand but are also forcing other players to make a costly mistake by calling with worst hands. Plus when you get called from a decent size raise you can guess the kind of hands people are calling with and you can c bet with confidence you will notice most people insta fold a tight c bet on the flop it doesn't matter if it is a very big c bet it also doesn't matter if there is an ace out there in fact that often helps.

yeah was live. the guy was extremely lucky... i actually considered folding kings for a second and chuckled. the guy was a smart ass old timer! was a great game though. i was short and had kj suited and was bb. i shipped and hut a str8. was happy with tht agenst ak. then a while after that i had aces on the big blind and the small blind tryed to steal my big blind with what i though was aj. i 3bet and he shipped. so i called with my aa vs a10. was happy with that. got me to where i was. i like trapping. i should of mabe rased to announce my hand but ether way i was all in preflop me thinks
