Default Bad Beat from a Donkey...

I was playing $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold 'Em last night. I put in $100 (not all of my bankroll thankfully) and within ten minutes had a nice roll, getting up to around $170.

Then I was dealt on the button. I raised to $6 and the big blind, whom I learnt in my time at the table, protected his big blind any way he could. I was re-raised to $18. I called and watched the flop come

Flopping the nut flush is a nice feeling. The big blind checks and I believe he is going to check-raise me. I bet $15 and surprise, surprise, he re-raises to $45. It's time to make him play all his chips and re-raise all-in. He thinks for a moment before calling, turning over - a pair?! What a donkey.

The turn comes as the giving him a set but my flush is still best. But when the river is the he has a full house and my flush is useless. My chips are all gone and I cannot believe the way this guy has played this hand. One player even said that this donkey played the hand well. Thoughts?

He played the hand really badly, player knew this, but it's better to encourage bad play than criticize it and watch money leave the table.
